Adderall

Adderall is prescribed in the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). It should be used as part of a broader treatment plan that includes psychological, educational, and social measures. Users who have not been prescribed the drug may use Adderall to stay awake studying or as a party drug.

Common Names: crosstops, whites, cartwheels, pep pills

Appearance: a small round, usually white, tablet in a prescription bottle container

Effects: One of the most apparent side effects of Adderall is loss of appetite. There are other side effects, as well, that include dehydration, hot flashes, stomach pains, nausea, heavy sweating, headaches and even involuntary movements. Excessive recreational abuse can cause users to become irritable and withdrawn from normal social interactions, experience insomnia and depression, and seem vacant to their friends and family--much like the long term effects of cocaine or amphetamine abuse.
