A list of community mental health providers covered by the University insurance plan is maintained. Alcohol and Drug Program Counselors can make referrals to community providers after meeting with students who may benefit from more extensive care or who may prefer to be seen outside of the university setting. Many community health providers offer discounted rates to students enrolled in the University Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). For students not enrolled in the SHIP Program, contact with the desired provider should be made by the student to determine particular insurance coverage.
